About Us

Two decades of teaching Dhorimana's children

From a single Pucca building to a full Class 1–12 institution — here is the story, the campus, and the people behind Gurukul Vidya Mandir.

Our Story

Gurukul Vidya Mandir Dhorimana was established in 2005 and has been managed as a Private Unaided institution ever since. Located in the rural block of Dhorimana, in Barmer district, Rajasthan, the school was founded by G. L. Geela with a clear purpose: bring quality, affordable schooling to families who might otherwise have none nearby.

What started as a modest campus has grown into a full Class 1 to Class 12 school, Co-educational throughout, with an attached pre-primary section for the youngest learners. Every academic session opens in April, and the school is reachable by an all-weather road, so learning is never disrupted by the seasons.

The medium of instruction is Hindi — a deliberate choice that keeps the classroom close to the language of home, while our Arts and Science streams prepare senior students for board examinations and beyond.

Our Founder

G. L. Geela

Gurukul Vidya Mandir exists because of one conviction: that a good education should never be out of reach for a family in Dhorimana. Under the guidance of founder G. L. Geela, the school has built its reputation on strong board results while keeping its doors genuinely open — poor and disabled students are charged only 25% of standard fees, a policy the school has upheld since its earliest years.

Our school's work is carried out in a spirit of humility and service, honouring the values of Guru Jambheshwar that guide our community in Dhorimana.
